ANDRES ESPARZA, a Mexican-American Californian, came to Ohio at an early age. He settled in Kent, Ohio after attending Kent State University. Impressed by older construction, Andres took notice of the natural beauty of slate. This work is a representation of older materials brought into new beginnings that will be appreciated through time. Functional, impressionable, and rustic are the base themes for his "switch plate art" otherwise known as "SPLART"
